Sister Jeanette Szyszputowski

Sister Jeanette Szyszputowski, SCC, entered eternal life on Tuesday November 12th, 2019 at the age of 94. 

Sister Jeanette (Mildred) was born in Reading, PA, the daughter of Adam and Sophia (Chludzinska) Szyszputowski.  Sister entered the community of the Sisters of Christian Charity on September 2, 1951 and made her final profession on August 20, 1960.

Sister taught primary elementary school children in Catholic Schools in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.  She also spent a year working with the blind children in a mission in the Philippines.  After many years of fulltime teaching, she continued her ministry as tutor and small group instructor. In her later years she lived at Holy Family Convent in Danville and later moved to the Motherhouse in Mendham in May 2018.

The liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16 at 11AM at the Motherhouse with viewing on Friday, November 15 from 2-4PM and from 7-9PM with Evening Prayer at 7PM.

Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery on the grounds of the Motherhouse following the Liturgy.
